Write a History Teacher Blog

We are looking for individuals who are keen to write blogs on the site. The blogs can be serious or comical, relate to you day or general comment on the state of the education system. You can even write under a pseudonym so that it will never encroach on you professional teaching career. Please don’t name or shame pupils… though.

Supply Teaching History

History is a rather slow position in Supply Teaching Terms. Demand for History is low, evident by the lack of financial assistance offered to PGCE students of this subject. However, good teachers are always in demand and analytical nature of History as a subject make for good “general cover” teachers on a day to day supply basis.

Long-term supply positions in History, as with all subjects, do come up owing to sickness cover requirements, maternity and paternity vacancies and or recruitment gaps in departments.
